There are many celebrities who frequent bingo clubs across the world, taking part in this exciting and fun game. You never know, next time you settle down at a table, bingo card in hand, you could find yourself sitting next to Robbie Williams or Russell Crowe!

Here are some of the stars who love to play bingo:

  • Actress Catherine Zeta Jones has been known to play the game at home with her own bingo cards and balls. It is also said that her dad won the money to send her to drama school at a bingo club!
  • Hollywood star Russell Crowe is a bingo fan and once worked as a caller in his native Australia.
  • President Obama plays the game with his family, it is reported. His stepmother Kezia is a bingo devotee, clearly influencing the leader of the free world’s leisure time activities.
  • Gary Barlow used to sing at bingo clubs before finding fame with Take That. Former bandmate Robbie Williams has also been known to frequent bingo halls, even featuring the game in the video for his song Feel.
  • US comedian Conan O’Brien is such an advocate of bingo that he sponsored his own bingo party nights in San Diego whilst filming his chat show at the city’s Comic-Con event in July 2015.
  • Bingo also has the royal seal of approval, with Prince William having popped into the Mecca bingo club in Reading in October 2006, accompanied by a group of friends. The Prince is said to have bought £5 worth of tickets, but left empty handed.
